Darlene's Story
Life
After moving from Thompson,CT in the 10th grade, I spent a few years in Sackets Harbor,NY; moving to Orlando,FL during my senior year. I started working at Walt Disney World the day after graduating...first as Cinderella, then in the attractions of frontierland/liberty square. (I saw a few of you there!) I met my first husband at Disney and we married in 1986. Our son Brandon was born a year later, followed by Jordan & Shelby. Chip and I divorced, and I moved back to New England with my daughter to be close to my family. Thanks to an old classmate (Ed Yates), Jimmy Harrington got my phone number and FINALLY talked to me. My daughter, oldest son Brandon, and I returned to Upstate NY. Jimmy and I were married October 6th, 2012. Between the two of us, we are a blended family with 5 kids, 3 sons and 2 baby princesses who all get along like brothers and sisters. I am the Clinical Resource RN / Compliance Officer for Hospice of Jefferson County.. Life is good...better than good...it's GREAT!
School

but I moved to a tiny village in Upstate New York in the 10th grade....which I LOVED.(had a BLAST seeing everyone for our 20th reunion this year) Halfway during my senior year, my family relocated to Orlando, Florida...where I graduated.
College
I went to college majoring in business. I worked in the hospitality field with my business degree until 1989. I left the work force completely for the birth of my second son. In 1991, I decided to go back to college where I received my degree in nursing in 1994. When all three of my kids are out of the house....my goal is to return to college and get a degree in Art History....you know the "fluffy" degree that parents (at least mine, anyway) wouldn't agree to!
Workplace
I spent a number of years working at Walt Disney World and Hotels on the Disney property. In 1994 with degree # 2 in hand as a registered nurse.....I entered the crazy world of nursing! I have worked in Pediatric intensive care....labor and delivery....PACU and now work as a Hospice nurse (which I absolutely love)
