Darlene's Story
Needless to say, I have regrets from HIgh School. Not too proud of how I handled things then or how things went down , but that was then and this is now and I am a grown woman and a totally different person. I had some great friends and some great memories, but my life now is amazing and I wouldnt change a thing because I believe it is what we go through in life that makes us who we are today and if we are smart we learn from our experiences and they make us better people.
So anyway, I met my husband in 1988, I just didnt know it at the time. lol We had a whirlwind romance, had our ups and downs and experienced some tragedy along the way. We shared a condo in burlington for awhile, then his work in the airlines took us to California, then back to NJ, where we rented a house for awhile, then unfortunately in 2000 he was in a motorcycle accident and his injuries changed our lives. uite a love story. We bought a house in 2002 and were married in 2003. Our daughter sang the song that I walked down the isle to. It was amazing. She actually has a few videos on youtube (search for soulxsilver26) My husband and I have been happily married ever since. Yes we did everything backwards, baby, house, wedding lol but it worked for us.
I have worked in accounting for years, went to school and got my real estate license and made some good extra money selling houses part time til the market crashed, then I went back to school and am working on changing careers and becoming a cardiovascular ultrasound tech but making pretty good money still doing accounting. lol I dont know what i want to be when I grow up, but I am sure am enjoying the ride.
Our baby girl is not such a baby anymore, we have sent her to private christian schools her whole life and she is such a good girl, now we are applying to colleges, its crazy, shes almost 18 now. Jeez we are gettin old, huh?
