Darlene's Story

Graduated from Seattle Pacific University with degree in Education. Taught elementary school for 22 years in the Sultan School District. Retired in 2013. Married for 48 years to Bob Smith, '65 grad from Lincoln High School in Seattle. Have one son and 2 grandsons. The first years of marriage were spent in traveling the US with my husband who was in the Army. Lived in California, Louisiana, Virginia, and South Carolina. '68. Settled back in Seattle and bought a home in the Green Lake area. After 10 years moved to Edmonds where we have been for 35 years. Enjoy boating, camping in our RV, and traveling. Love being retired and catching up with all the books I 'need to read'. Feel blessed to have a wonderful family, decent health, and good retirement income. :) Looking forward to seeing many others at the reunion and catching up. Also doing the Lincoln 50th Reunion in October of 2015.

88 degrees here in Long Beach today at the Kite Festival. Can't ever remember it being this hot here before. Bring on those ocean breezes!!

South Jetty at Ft.Stevens/Astoria. Beautiful day!
Wonderful day at Sedona last week. Had a great time exploring the area on our recent trip to Phoenix with cousins from Minnesota. Baseball, Grand Canyon, Sedona, museums, and loads of laughs and food. Doesn't get any better
