Darnell's Story

Life I have been married 40+ years to Jim. I am currently retired from social services (legal aid, area agency on aging). I spend quite a bit of my time as a caregiver to my husbands parents who are in their 80's. We had one daughter and four grandchildren. The grandsons are 19 and 15. The granddaughters are 8 and 6. I drive a yellow VW Beetle, the new bug. I had the original VW Bug in the 70's. Jim and I travel quite frequently. Now that I am retired, I travel with him on business trips when I can. Ivan, with the Red Cross. I volunteered for seven years at a local homeless shelter. Did lots of cooking at the shelter! In my spare time I write a food blog and teach cooking classes at a local not for profit food bank. Stop by and give the blog a read, leave a comment too: KansasCityGravyCompany dot com/. Kansas City Gravy Company is also on facebook. (I am too) It's a good life. I keep in touch with a handful of Western friends. Deb DeWees and I live very close to each other and get together qutie often. I would love to hear from any of the class of 1971.
