Darrel's Story
Life
Went off to college at Flagstaff. 2 yrs. in the Army(66 to 68). I was with the 82nd Engineer Batt. in Bamberg, Germany for a few months until I went to Viet Nam. I was with the 261st Trans Co. in Long Bin. Came back to school in Flagstaff, also worked for the USFS till 1973. Came to Calif. in Jan.,1973 as a firefighter with the state fire dept. I retired as a Fire Captain on Jan.30,2001. I have been divorced for many years, but have a wonderful married...Expand for more
daughter and 2 super granddaughters. I enjoy camping,fishing,bike riding,spending time with family and friends. I moved (March, 2007) from my home of 33 years down to Cottonwood, CA. to be closer to my daughter and her family. I am very involved with my church and church family.
College
I took a tour of Germany and Asia for a couple of years during school, hence the long time in college. I did not graduate, but went to work as a full time fireman in Calif.
