e finalists - Thank you Glen (donor), Denise and Lisa for being there for me), lost kidney in 3/2007 due to a rare virus and received a new one on 5/29/2009 (had 12 volunteers to donate, none matched well enough to be a donor). Have a wonderful wife of 40+ years, 2 wonderful daughters and son-in-laws. Life has treated me well over the years.. still able to do most of the things I want." Lost 2nd transplanted kidney, back on dialysis and on kidney transplant list. Enjoying retirement. Volunteer at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center (train museum) in Portland ast least one day per week. Great job!!
