Darrell's Story
Who am I, really? Well, only God knows that answer, but I'll tell you what I think, and here's my story.
My wife, Kathy, and I have been married for the last 40 years, and have two grown children, and three grand children. After high school we lived in the SF valley (Panorama, Van Nuys) / Simi Valley area working for a Die cast company in Chatsworth. I was there for 22 years, and ran the tool and die end for 18 years. In 1992 we packed up and moved to Grand Junction Colorado, that was 16 years ago. In that 16 years I have been a Real Estate Broker, owned a fence and landscape business / worked for a medical company, and did "Hot Shot" driving into the gas and oil fields from Vernal Utah, to Boulder Wyoming. Most of my runs were into the Rifle, Parachute, and Craig areas, all in Colorado. Currently I work for an RV dealer in town called Humphrey RV and Trailer.
I've played electric and acoustic guitar for about 50 years. Still not very good but I enjoy my own sound. Also, I have written over 50 songs mostly contemporary Christian, and only one country song. It's called "My sweet Sally's face" I also oil paint, and write short western stories of various types, and am currently working on a western novel, about half finished.
Also, I write Christian commentaries, and essays. I am not published, but that's ok I just enjoy the writing. Mostly I send out whatever I write to friends, and other folks who have the same interests, western or Christian.
Who were some of the others you hung out with through school? Maybe we had common friends. Please post your pic on the sight. I am in the process of picking and choosing what I am going to post.

Looking forward to seeing my good High School friends, Marv Miller, and Larry stephens later on this year. Spent a week with two other really great friends Rick and Marsha Schlotzhauer (HS friends and neighbor) over Thanksgiving 2008.
My goal for the future is to eventually work as a greeter at Walmart and wear one of those neat blue vests.
