Darrell's Story
Life
I left CA in 1965 as one of the first draftees for Viet Nam War. Given the choice of becoming an Infantry officer(on my way to Viet Nam)or working in the Pentagon, I did the obvious and spend two years in the Washington DC area doing math modelng and statistics realted to personnel policy analysis. The Army offered me a civilian job and I ended up spending 37 years in DC/Northern VA. I was the Army's Director of Military Occupational Development and retired in Sep 02 as Chief of the Occupational Analysis Office in the Army Research Institute. e enough to work for Major General Hal Moore (played as a Lieutenant Colonel by Mel Gibson in the film)in the mid 1970's. During the years I've managed to get married/divorced twice and have a daughter and grandson living in VA. I currently reside in FL and have started a small corporation (Worstine Consultants, Inc) that does contract work with Federal Government. Although I live one house off the golf course I'm not a golfer but do love the FL weather and "pool time". I still lift weights and bicycle 4/5 times a week. I'm an avid "fan" of the stock market and probably trade far too much for my own good.
