Darren's Story

Life Those of you from Tokay reading this already know me for the most part. After Graduation I started doing classes at Delta College and worked full time for my family in wholesale produce. I got into an EMS career in 1988 for Stockton Ambulance and currently work as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I have continued to play and coach soccer over the years and enjoy a very active life style. For those of you that know I was adopted as a baby, I met my biological mother and father, Jodie D'Alessandro and Michael O'Rourke back in 1988-89 after my daughter Jessica was born. They both grew up and live aroung the Philadelphia area of PA and I have carried on a great relationship with both of them. Besides my career and playing soccer, I also scuba dive as a professional and have traveled on expeditions to some incredible places as a dive medic and technical support specialist for general exploration and some film work with local photographer...Expand for more
s and video crews. I recenly became a father again in 2004 when my son Aiden was born. Since Tokay, I have had some incredible adventers and the journey's through life, even though some have been extremely hard times. I still carry-on some long term friendships with a few guys I grew up with in Morada, including Kirk Fetzer. I talk to him regularly. I was able to attend the 20th reunion for my class and look forward to seeing how the alumni continue to do in life. Workplace I currently work for the San Rafael Fire Department as a firefighter-paramedic, I started my career in EMS back in 1988 working in Stockton as a medic for the local ambulance company. I moved to Monterey in 1996 and then got involved in other specialties such as ocean rescue and hyperbaric medicine. I had my own business for a brief time doing dive medicne and scuba diving courses. I have the best job in the world and would not trade one minute of it ever!
