Darryl's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Ole Miss for a year, then transferred to WKU. After getting a B.A., I worked at WKU for six years (during that time, I earned a Master's degree). I tricked Kris Vollmer (LOHS, '86) into marrying me in 1993 (and we are still married today!). We moved to Florence, SC in 1997, and have two children (Hannah, born in 2001 & Benjamin, born in 2004). niversity (Francis Marion University) in Florence.
We try to get back to Paducah at least once a year, and members of our families visit us two or three times a year (usually these visits include a trip to the beach, which is only an hour away).
Kris and I are involved in our church in several ministries, and enjoy living here -- but we miss Paducah, family, and friends.
I am more fortunate than I could ever deserve -- thanks to God!
