Darryl's Story
Presently living in Minnetonka, MN, just west of Minneapolis.
I've lived in Minneapolis 24 years with my wife, Janet and my three sons, Ian, Eric and Evan.
A new job took me and my wife from the Bronx to Dallas,Plano to be exact, for a 10 year stay. I was a rep. out of the Dallas office and traveled extensively representing a costume line of jewelery called Napier. Having had enough of the heat and tornadoes, I accepted a position in Minneapolis with a smaller costume jewelry company which brought the family to the upper mid-west. Talk about great salesmanship. Janet moved to Texas 7 months pregnant and again to Minnesota with a three small boys in tow. She has been a gift for all. What started out as a blind date has turned into 33 years of marriage. A brave and enduring woman. A serious accident to my youngest son, Evan, took me out of the work place for 15 years taking care of him full time. Once again my wife stepped up and carried the family. She had a position with an start up engineering company in Minneapolis. Twelve years with them gave her a partnership...Expand for more
and the ability to retire early when our son Evan passed unexpectedly. Now it's my time to get crazy and do the things I never had time for. One of my passions is to get lost in the back country of Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Utah is my mistress. She makes me come and hike, photograph, off-road in my Pathfinder and generally make me feel human once again. Two things that i have not done in awhile to sky dive, which i used to do in up-state NY by the Greenfield State Prison and to get back into the cockpit of a glider. I used to sell a glider from Finland called the PIk-20 to American pilots but that is a whole other story in that. I also enjoy pistol, trap and skeet shooting. I've been doing it since I was a a kid. Should be getting along now as i need to spend some time on my May 2010 trip into Utah.
Later,
Darryl
PS: there is one thing though..my one crush was
a girl named Dalia..not sure of the spelling..i do think of here from time to time and wonder how she has fared in life. We were both art majors at the time..cannot find her listed in the 63,64 postings.
