Darsey's Story
After high school, I planned on being a career girl; however, plans changed dramatically when I met the love of my life, Todd. We have been married since 1991 and have four children. I am living my dream of being a stay-at-home mom. Life is never boring, to say the least! Most of my activities revolve around the children, who I homeschool. I've done everything from coach soccer to host a science co-op. I am currently in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I'm the Member Care Coordinator for my homeschool group. I teach the four and five year old Sunday school class at Vail Christian Church in Tucson.
My oldest child just started college and my youngest will be five this month, so we enjoy a wide range of activities with them, like paintball (when the weather is cooler), slumber parties, and play dates at the park. My perfect day is: sleeping in, cooking a country-style breakfast, walking ...Expand for more
the trails to our park, playing frisbee or football with the kids, cooling off in our pool, having another family over to BBQ, and finishing the day off with s'mores over the fire pit. (Using this model, I've never actually had a perfect day! But we do enjoy spending time together doing simple things like these.)
The most important thing in the world to me now is my relationship to Jesus Christ and the new life he gave me for free. I am in no way perfect, (as my children would testify) but I try to glorify God in all areas of my life, giving constant thanks to Him for all the wonderful blessings I have in my life.
I really hope to reconnect with old friends as well as make new ones on this website. I feel like I was very self-centered in high school and I missed out on getting to know my classmates really well. Please leave me a note. I would LOVE to hear from you.
Thanks, Darsey
