Darwin's Story

Got my BS in Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly, SLO. On graduation, got married and moved to Idaho Falls to train swabbies how to operate a nuclear power plant, intending to get some experience in nuclear before working for GE, San Jose in nuclear plant design. Things happened....four kids, divorce, remarriage, MS from University of Idaho in Nuclear Engineering. Next thing I knew, I was celebrating my 42nd anniversary at the Idaho Nuclear Laboratory and decided enough was enough. Now retired on my own little acre, raising chicken...Expand for more
s and drowning worms. To update, the chickens are long gone, and spinal stenosis has at the very least put a severe crimp in the worm drowning. My wife of 25 years passed away on Feb. 20th, 2015. At this moment, I am seeing a goodly portion of the now closed phase of my life passing out the door as either good will donations or straight to the dumpster as my two middle kids go through the house like a dose of salts. Don't be sorry...it was a damned good 25 years, and I'm getting my mind wrapped around entering the next life phase.
