Darwin's Story
I actually became a documentary editor for television and actually make 6 six figures....in school I was interested ONLY in figures and everyone probably thought I'd turn out to be a statistic.
I live in Annapolis Maryland, but am temporarily in Alexandria Virginia. I left Germany in November 1961 and joined the Air Force during the Viet Nam era...earned the Presidential Unit Citation Award for our work in discovering the first missiles in Cuba and did photo recon for 4 years. Went to Columbia school of broadcasting, started at WBBH TV Fort Myers Fla as a gofer 1967...then to Naples Fla for WEVU TV 1974...then on to New York area for Columbia Pictures in 1976...then to DC area in 1978 to work for a TV Production Studio...freelanced as a sports guy doing slo mo..then to the PBS affilliate in Northern Va where I am at the moment.
My first love is sailing and have owned boats from 12 to 41 feet....next love is skiing out west, Colorado or Utah, tennis anywhere and not the least of ...Expand for more
all, have a great career in television editing with 1 Emmy and 2 nominations, but work way, way too much. I really want to try to connect with Klaus Buncutter (he was a Junior when I graduated in 1961 and have not seen him since. The class of 1961 went to Rome on our senior trip and made so much trouble that I think the school banned out of Germany trips for a couple of years.....sorry about that. I would also like to find out what happened to Jeannie Wilfong....she graduated in 1961 too and went back to Huntington West Va. She was my most serious High school love. Well that's enough to bore anyone who is interested....love to talk to anyone who went to K-Town. What a great party school......anyone remember the post graduation, pre Rome party at the Twin's house? OMG ...took most of the class days to recover. Or beer parties at the castle ruins at the top of the mountain, just outside of K-Town. Lots of wonderful memories....I hope you all have them as well. Dar "D" Silver
