Daryl's Story

Life I joined Army right out of high school in 1971 where I served in Electronic Intelligence and Explosive Ordnance Disposal units. I worked with the US Secret Service and State Department on security details in the US and overseas for Presidents Reagan and Bush. In 1992 I retired as a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Army Officer. After retiring I began working as an emergency manager and security officer for the Brazos River Authority in Waco, TX. nal Association of Emergency Managers, and board member of the Texas Gulf Coast Emergency Management Association. In addition to my full-time work I teach management courses online for the University of Phoenix and evaluate WMD terrorism exercises for the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center under Texas A&M Univesity and the Texas Governor's Division of Emergency Management. I hold a BS in Liberal Studies from the University of NY and a Masters in Management from Webster University. I am a Master Bomb Squad Officer and internationally Certified Emergency Manager and a certified Texas Floodplain Manager. I've been married since 1972 and I have 2 children, 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
