Daryl's Story
Life
I joined Army right out of high school in 1971 where I served in Electronic Intelligence and Explosive Ordnance Disposal units. I worked with the US Secret Service and State Department on security details in the US and overseas for Presidents Reagan and Bush. In 1992 I retired as a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Army Officer.
After retiring I began working as an emergency manager and security officer for the Brazos River Authority in Waco, TX. In addition to my full-time work I teach management courses online for the University of Phoenix and evaluate WMD terrorism exercises for the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center under Texas A&M Univesity and the Texas Governor's Division of Emergency Management.
I hold a BS in Liberal Studies from the University of NY and a Masters in Management from Webster University. I am a Master Bomb Squad Officer and internationally Certified Emergency Manager and a certified Texas Floodplain Manager.
I've been married since 1972 and I have 2 children, 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
