Daryl's Story
Wonderful part of my life was Walla Walla - Left town 30 December 69 and spent next 21 years traveling around the world with the Navy. During that time period I spent over 7 years at sea without seeing land, women or a bottle of beer. When not at sea I had one heck of a good time seeing different countries, great people and the wildest kinds of food no one would ever imagine eating - just had to be there. Just prior to retiring/leaving the Navy I finally got married and then spent the next 4 years in Hawaii. I became a daddy to two beautiful daughters and started working for the Postal Service for the next 23 years. We left Hawaii in 1995 and relocated to my wife's home. We've ...Expand for more
been in Indiana ever since(yes, it's in the middle of no where). But, it was a great place to raise the girls. I spent 21 years as a Postmaster until I finally retired a few years ago. At 66 I finally seen my youngest graduate from college - now that both the girls are finally not in school I found out that I'm loaded. I finally became a grandpa at 65, my goodness what a blessing-she is an Angel sent from up above. Honestly I wish I had kept in touch with my classmates, and often wonder how their lives turned out. My life has been Fantastic, wouldn't change too many pieces of the puzzle. Been thinking about coming out to my old home town in 2019 for my classes 50 Year reunion.
