Dave(Heisel)'s Story
It may appear that I was career military. That is very far from the truth. I actually served in the U.S. Navy for only eight years. The other 26 years of my sea service was spent working for Atlantic Richfield aboard tankers. I retired in 2004. After 34 years of going to sea, for real, I now enjoy a computer game, "Alas...Expand for more
kan Storm", modeled after "Deadliest Catch", on Discovery Channel. It's a bit safer, and my wife is happier, that I no longer go to sea. The job did have some nice perks, though. At 5 o'clock, there is nobody getting onto the 405 frwy in Southern California, and someone else is cooking dinner and doing dishes at night.
