Dave's Story
In 1987, I Graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and an Air Force Commission. I was stationed and did initial tour-of-duty in the Electronic Security Command at Brooks Air Force Base, in San Antonio, where I led my first team of software engineers developing the first global ARPANET (now Internet) applications use by ESC field sites for analytical and encryption purposes.
Resigned my commission and moved to the Austin tech-mecha in 1990, where I started an independent Software Contracting agency, and contracted directly with several major computer and software corporations including IBM, DCA, Attachmate, and Dell.
In 1996, sold my company and began working directly for Dell Computer Corporation (now Dell Inc.) where I began streamlining and automating their global manufacturing 'Build-To-Order' process. From 2000 to 2010, I've been the Senior Software Architect and Development Lead for the Dell's Global Automation Tools & Technology team. In 2011, I became a Sr. Principle Engineering Strategist for Dell's Global Operations Engineering & Technology Group, and I now design, implement and manage our global manufacturing software solutions which span 29 other companies worldwide.

volved in the Theatrical Arts in Austin; including producing, writing, directing and acting. I've written plays, seen them produced, and have won various Austin Circle of Theatre awards. For the last 10 years, I've also taken up Glass crafting where I've been fortunate enough to study glass sculpture, blowing, fusing and lampwork with world-class artist in the US, Italy, Ireland, and Japan. In 2008 I've had the fortune to blow crystal in the Waterford Crystal factory headquarters in Ireland, and in 2009 one of my pieces was curated into the Kobe Glass Museum, in Kobe Japan. My main glass focus is Italian Glass Bead work and sculptural figurines. My glass work has been published and can be seen in various glass and craft magazines and DVDs.
Currently, I live in Austin, with my significant other and we have two amazing children, one in the US Department of State, currently stationed in Washing DC; after just returning from a 3-year tour in Kiev, Ukraine. The other graduated from University of Texas in 2011, with a degree in Music with a specialty in Conducting; where he's also been independently studying with Peter Bay, conductor of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. And recently he was highlighted on NPR where he conducted a Mahler Symphony that he arranged specifically for 21-piece saxophone ensemble.
