David's Story
Life
Left Burbank right after graduation 1977. Lived in Stevens Point, Wisconsin from 1977-1995. BS degree from UWis-Stevens Point. Transferred with job in 1995 to Bloomington, MN. Got MBA from Univ. of St Thomas. Moved to Faribault in 2000 to a cozy little house on a golf course. Began a new job in 2003 as Purchasing Manager of a Food Processing company specializing in dietary suppliments, sport protein drinks and nuetraceutical products.
Have a mint 1977 280-Z for summers and '04 Harley. Hard to carry golf clubs on the bike! Still a trivia monger.
Looking for a new job! Working as a Commodity Manager for an Emerson Electric Division in Waseca, MN.
Became a Grandpa in May of 2006, and again in January of 2011.
At 50 years old, I am still playing baseball and STILL pitching. I have a mound assignment on 7/13 in a small Minnesota town, and have been nominated to play in our league's...Expand for more
State All Star game in September.
Lost most of my hair, but not my wit ot way with words. Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
I have officially pitched baseball games in seven decades, with this year marking my 53rd consecutive year of pitching in organized baseball. Boast a no-hitter in MN 50+ ball in 2019 and complete game 2-1 win in 35+ MN state tournament in 2020. Getting harder to avoid rockets shot back towards me by batters, though.
Update from September 2021. The team from Minnesota I played for in The Cooperstown Legends of the Game World Series won with 8-1 records. Threw two consecutive complete game shutouts and won MVP honors. Hope to go back and defend my title. For sure going to Florida in November to play in Roy Hobb World Series.
Have two more grandchildren, now up to four. Two of the three boys live in Steverns Point, the 3rd in Faribault, MN.
