Dave 512-914-4445 Text or call... About 15 years ago I read an article written by the CEO of the Kerr Jar Company. This is the company that manufactures the Kerr canning jars. Mr. Kerr told about how he was a firm believer in corporate tithing and had always participated in corporate tithing with his company. Mr. Kerr told about the great earthquake of 1906 that hit California and completely destroyed everything around his manufacturing plant. The fires had come up and singed the wooden privacy fence around his manufacturing plant but not even one jar had been knocked off the shelves or even been cracked. He gave ALL the glory for ALL his success to our Mighty God. I like most Christians, was giving to the church, here and there. Sometimes 10%, but for the most part, a lot less and truthfully robbing GOD. His story encouraged me to put Malachi 3:10 to the test for myself. The word teaches us to “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this says the Lord God Almighty, and see if I will not through open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have room enough for it.” At that time my ex-wife and I were living in this small 3 bedroom 2 bath, 1300 sq’ mobile home and we were bursting at the seams. I was driving an old 1992 Chevy Pickup without air conditioning. I decided I would do my best to make amends with my God and decided that day, no matter what happened, no matter how hard things got, I was going to give 20% of my time and everything I made from that day forward to the Lord. This would be the ultimate test. This was the only place in the Bible where the Lord said test me so if I was going to test him I was going to go all the way and do it the Dave Davis way….. So from that day forward I have faithfully given at least 20% of all my earnings and my time to the Kingdom. I just want to let the WORLD know THAT MY GOD IS A MIGHTY GOD. About 10 years ago our God gave us this beautiful 5 bedroom 3 bath 3 car garage, 3200 + sq’ brand new home and we were able to pay cash for it. He furnished it completely with all brand new furniture. My wife and I both were blessed with brand new cars that Christmas. Everywhere we go and everything we touch becomes a blessing. We have been debt free and filled with the joy of this for the last 15 years and He tells us we will remain this way for eternity. I try to share this story with everyone, everywhere I go. I was sharing my testimony with one of my customers a while back. He called me back, a few weeks later, to tell me that he had been a slacker.
