Dave's Story
Life
After graduation, I spent a year at Phoenix College and then went into the Army. It wasn't an especially good time to do that since Vietnam was still a hot spot, but with a draft lottery number of 6, it was inevitable. It was while I was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas that I met and married Sandi. That was in 1975. We have two in our family. Jason spent 4 years in the Marines, and now has a family of his own. As of November 07, he has spent 7 months in Afghanistan with just another 5 to go. Carrie graduated from the University of Arizona after just 3 1/2 years with degrees in Communications and Political Sciences and attended George Washington University for her Masters in Communications.

fe. They were season ticket holders for ASU football, enjoyed hockey and basketball. They were probably some of the best sports fans around.
After leaving the service with almost 7 years, I joined the National Guard. That was just party time for weekend drills as well as the two-week summer camps. Never had it so good until Desert Storm. My unit was activated and we spent 5 months living in tents in the Saudi desert. Thankfully we never saw any battles.
I have had the opportunity to see Germany, France, Switzerland, Holland, Korea, Saudi and Kuwait so who can complain.
I worked at Motorola for 22 years before leaving to work for a small company in Tempe, FinePoint Innovations and retired from Orbital Sciences in 2014. All and all, life is good.
Earlier this year (2015) I did a solo unsupported bike ride from Canada to Mexico. 1688 miles with 21 days on the bike.
