Dave's Story
I left right after graduation for the USAF. I did basic training and tech school in Texas, before heading to northern Japan. From Japan, I was sent on temporary duty to Thailand, flying missions over Vietnam. I returned to Japan and completed my tour. Next stop was Maryland and the National Security Agency. Three years later I was reassigned to the island of Crete (my favorite duty station). After two and a half years, I returned for another tour at NSA, before being assigned to southern Italy. Three years later and I found myself in Germany. I returned to NSA for my last several years in the AF. shift security chief at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. I then signed on with a computer software company called Autometric in Virginia. Eventually, the call came from NSA asking if I wanted to come back on board as a civilian. which I accepted. Fast forward 20 years and I am now retired for the second time. In 2017, my wife and I moved to Georgia to be close to her two sons and the first grandchild Evelyn.
When I am not playing golf (5 handicap), I am usually doing wildlife or landscape photography. You can see some of my stuff on the website 500px.com. I also play trivia with some friends on monday nights. I am an avid reader of all types of books, but my favorite is scifi, especially Aasimov and Heinlein.
