David's Story
After high school graduation I went to Central Michigan University. I joined Sigma PI fraternity my freshman year and still graduated in 1981. If anyone remembers Detroit job opportunities then we were all moving to Houston for a job. Twenty eight years later and people are still leaving Detroit for jobs! I played around most of the 80's while earning a living bartending in the detroit area. I was at Menjo's for several years, left there for a great opportunity at Cheek's for their best years, and returned to Menjo's. I had another fantastic opportunity to move to Chicago before I turned 30 with my significant other. I met my soulmate in 1986 & we moved to Louisville KY in Dec 2005 after 17 yrs in Chicago. We love Louisville & only 320 miles from Chicago or 380 to Sterling Hgts. We are extremely fortunate and live a great life in Louisville. We adopted 2 rescue dogs in Chicago that changed my life and are with us today( 12 yrs)In addition, another rescue dog adopted here in KY after being abandoned at 7 weeks old near Lake Cumberland! My swimming & running days are behind me but I get daily exercise from our "rescue dogs". I was terminated with 600 other employees with HSBC formerly Household Finance in 2007 & recently joined Bank of America Home Loans. Drop a line if ever in Louisville & need a place to stay! Dave
