Dave's Story

Life BS Michigan State, MS Michigan, PhD Florida, all in economics. BS Finance, Florida, and only 4 courses to go for my MS in Accounting at Florida Atlantic U. (though that seems to be on temporary hold for 16 yrs. now). I live in the Florida Keys, Big Pine Key to be exact (about 25 miles east of Key West), and spend my time fishing, diving and snorkeling, and just enjoying the Keys life. It's a far cry from Agoura High and Westlake Village, but I love it. 15 minutes on my boat puts me in world class ocean f...Expand for more
ishing, or diving the coral reefs. 30 minutes in my car puts me in Key West and all the dining and nightlife you could want. 1 hour in my kayak puts me in some of the best back-country/flats fishing in the world. I Couldn't have it any better and I know I have been very lucky; no complaints here. Hey, when the average temp in February is 80 degrees, how bad could it be? I do miss California however, and it will always be home, but I have been in Florida now for 32 years, and I will never live anywhere else.

Just got some old family pics from my brother. This one is from 1972 at my brothers wedding and shows him, me, and my sister, I haven't seen this for over 50 years. But I can't help but notice that I haven't changed a bit..
Today my beautiful little Josie passed. She had an infection on her liver. She was not even two years old. She was so loved by Sue and I and our hearts are broken R.I.P little one.

Finally got to go home! here is Sue piloting us through the canal. got to the ocean and i was cruising along at 30mph, when all of a sudden the marine conditions turned on a dime. had to slow down to 10-15mph, and we were b
Sue insisted that I post this, just to embarrass myself. here i am pulling out of our dock before turning the boat over to Sue, who always navigates us through the canals.
