Dave's Story

Just talked to Jim Klorman to try to get him to jog my memory about Chatsworth High life, he said I didn't have one and should have just joined facebook instead. Oh well. Headed off to UC Santa Cruz after Chatsworth, graduate with a BA in Sociology, sure couldn't find a job with that, headed over to Japan to teach English while I tried to figure a next move, forgot to come home for the remainder of the 80s. Came back in 1990 with a wife, Kiyomi, a 3-year-old daughter, Monica, and a 4-month-old son, Cameron, and ended up settling down in Fair Oaks, CA (east Sacramen...Expand for more
to County). Still hadn't figured things out, various interesting jobs till I finally backed into the insurance business in 1993. Didn't like working for others, started my own brokerage in 1995, that's all she wrote. Daughter graduated UCLA summer of 2008, son is a sophomore UC Santa Barbara currently. Unenthusiastic participant but deeply involved in the great economic slow-down of the past few years, on the way back. For more, check out my website at (oh, guess I can't post that - you can find it I'm sure). Current owner of Dave Barr Insurance. Remember me?
