Dave Washington:  

Dave Washington, Jr., is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Upon completion of high school he accepted a scholarship to attend Alcorn State University and graduated with a degree in Chemistry. While at Alcorn he played on national championship football and conference championship basketball teams. Dave later received a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Jackson State University. He has taught on the high school and college levels. The Christian values and training Dave received from his single-parent mom; grandmother and sister as a result of his father’s untimely death are the foundations he builds from today. His dad a Pastor and businessman were only a part of Dave’s life for two years, this time though brief, provided a glimpse for Dave’s ministry, athletic, academic and professional development. Dave’s eleven years in the National Football League (NFL) as an outside linebacker produced All-Pro years at Denver, Buffalo, and San Francisco. Professionally he is a featured sports columnist for many National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) newspapers, a member of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), National Football League Alumni Association (NFL-Alumni), Pro Football Writers Association, Alcorn State University Sports Hall of Fame, and U.
