Life
Damn... can you believe it has been almost 25 years since we graduated from Hale?
Well, I married Ron Dee, Class of '75. We had two kids. Ron had a reasonably successfull career in writing, but we parted ways in 1994. I worked in retail pets until we left Tulsa in 1989 and moved to rural Missouri where I worked in wholesale pets. On the side I raised birds and worked in the publishing industry and as an editor and publisher of small press magazine. I was also a literary agent for a while.
My daughter got married and now I have two grand children. My son went into the military and served in Korea for a year. I decided it was time for me to do what I had always wanted to do, so I sold everything and moved to Key West. I love it down here. I work as a manager for Jimmy B...Expand for more
uffett's retail store. When I'm not working I'm having fun... we have a pool, live a block from the beach, 2 blocks from the best fishing pier on the island and a quick scooter ride gets us to the best bars anywhere.
For a while I was building web sites for Gennifer Flowers, Key West Historic Seaport, the world's largest Key Lime Shop and a dozen others, but my partner and I split up and he kept the business. Now I make unique gifts that are sold at local shops and to Jimmy Buffett fans.
Ok... so I'm not rich or famous, but I've done a lot of traveling and I've met lots of fantastic people and I've had a great deal of fun.
I've really enjoyed my life. It wasn't a bed of roses, who's is? But I survived the bad times and thrived in the good times and made them great times.
