David Baird:  

Gave up my membership here, look me up on FaceBook where we maintain a WHS Class of 69 Group. After Winchester High School I studied at Boston University where I attended DGE 69-71, CLA 71-72, CLA Graduate Division 74 Studying Organizational Development with Ken Benne, STH 74-79. I completed my M'Div (1978) and all the coursework for my TH'd (ABD). I studied with Malcolm Knowles in Adult Education while I specialized in Human Maturation on a Holistic model. My second attempt at the Th'd I studied Pastoral Counseling and Psychology of Religion. I was recruited out of my Doctoral Studies in 1986 to do specialized ministries for the United Methodist Denomination. During that time of studies I worked in the human service sector in Boston. After a stint as a Consultant for Apt Associates doing leadership devlopment and training for non-profits I went to work for the United Way of Mass Bay switched to United Community Planning Services. Then I was hired by The Commonwealth of Mass Office of Educational Affairs in their Mass Internship Office. Finally I worked directly for Gov. Dukakis in the Commonwealth of Mass Office of Citizen Participation. I also worked in The Sanctuary, a teen homeless shelter and then helped it move into becoming a Juvenile Deferal Program working in Cambridge Community Schools. I volunteered at the 2nd Hospice in the US in Newton. I also worked part-time in manufacturing to pay the bills. I am currently serving as a Chaplain for a Department of Corrections Facility for the state of Connecticut. I also help resource the Prison Hospice Program.
