David's Story
Life
My oldest daughter is going into the Air Force soon and youngest daughter just passed her test to get her drivers license. Then my son just turned 13 and spends most of his free time playing games on one of his gaming (I lost count) systems. My wife Melissa and I have been married for an incredible 21 years this year. I do not know how she puts up with me, but she does. Must be because I spend most of my time overseas.
School
I spent most of my time screwing off in high school. My mother kicked me out of the house right be for my senior year. So I moved to Texas to live with my father. Boy that was different; I thought I was in the movie Footloose. Well my father kicked me out around spring break time. I then moved back to Clermont where I finished out the school year.
College
Have some college under the belt, but not much. Also passed the Florida Law Inforcement Exam, but never became a Law Inforcement Officer.
Workplace
Started out in high school working for the beef people Winn-Dixie. Once I graduated high school I joi...Expand for more
ned the Army. I did not like the first job I picked in the Army. So, I switched over to the Bomb Squad better know as EOD. Once my time was over I started working with environmental companies cleaning up old military bases. Spent 3 years in Iraq, lost a few friend and almost myself, and then went home for a while. I am now in Afghanistan working with ITSI a construction firm. I do not know how long I will be over here, I guess when the wife say to come home.
Military
I joined the Army on July 30th, 1986. My first duty assignment was Colorado Springs, Colorado. Then I went to Korea which I did not like at all. After Korea I was assigned to Columbus, Georgia. I then went to EOD School in 1999 and graduated in 2000 right during for the first Gulf war. I was assigned to Ft. Monmouth, NJ after graduating EOD. While at NJ I spent a lot of time traveling with the President and other VIPs. I also helped out during the first World Trade Center bombing that was cool. I then transferred to a unit in Florida and finished my time with the Army.
