Life Life since graduation from Page in 1973-Attended Lees-McRae(then a junior college).Ran track there and held the school record in the 3mile run.Graduated from Lees-McRae in 1975 and worked for a year in Greensboro.Attended Appalachian State for the next 3 years and graduated in 1979 with a degree in physical education.While at ASU I competed in track and cross country.After graduating from ASU, I had 3 interim teaching and coaching jobs in physical education.I coached at Grimsley,Page and Southeast Guilford with either track or cross country.In 1981 I attended NC A & T State University and became certified to teach biology.The fall of 1982 I took a job at Northeast Guilford High School teaching biology and coaching women's track.I have been there ever since.I started a women's cross country team and have been its only head coach.I have since taught physical science and earth science and now finally ,physical education.I have also coached men's track and cross country. In 2001 I coached one really great athlete named Brett Wilson who competed at TCU in Fort Worth , Texas. While at Northeast, he won the state title in the 400 meters and 200 meters.He had the 8th fastest time in the US in the 400 (46.91).I met my wife ,Janet in 1983 and we were married in 1985.We had our daughter, Liana in 1987 and our son,Adam in 1992.Currently,I still teach and coach at Northeast where my daughter graduated and was a member...Expand for more
