David's Story
Moved from SGF to Argyle in 1968, graduated from Argyle in 1970. Started working in the parts department at Parsons Ford the fall of 70, took a trip to western NY in Feb. of 1971 and the wife of the family I went to visit fixed me up with a blind date, well.......I married my blind date in 1972. That same year we purchased an old farm house with a little land in Fort Edward on the Argyle border and still live there today. After leaving the dealership jobs (Parts manager at the last of 4 dealership) I went on to manage an auto parts store for about 9 years, after that I moved on to an automotive specialty shop where I've worked as a parts and service coordinator for 34 years now. n 2018. My wife is a nurse also retired, we've been married for 52 years now, have 4 children (Angelique, Aaron, Kyle and Kerry) and 9 grandchildren (Madison, Kylie, Elizabeth, Julia, Colby, Ellianna, Luca. Sully and Langston). All live within 25 miles of us except our youngest son who moved to Colorado for an internship after college, loved the place so much he bought a condo and is a permanent resident there. Still enjoy music and concerts, photography is my passion now (see Durkeetown Images on Facebook) but I still love to get out into the woods to hunt, hike, cross country ski, snow shoe etc. Not a lot more to say but time has passed so quickly and I've lost contact with so many over those years.
