David's Story
Life
I received a B.F.A. in Animation from CalArts School of Film/Video in 1983. I have been with the Walt Disney Company for 24 years and currently serve as a Director, Producer and Artistic Coordinator at Disney Feature Animation and Disney Toon Studios. Some of my screen credits include films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Pocahontas, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Tim BurtonÂs Nightmare Before Christmas, Hercules, the Academy Award-nominated Runaway Brain, Fantasia 2000, and the award winning short Destino. Recently, I was Producer for Walt Disney on the Front Lines a DVD compilation of material produced by the studio during W.W. II. The DVD will be released on May 18, 2004. I have also participated in the restoration efforts of many of the Disney animated shorts and features including the recently released Bambi DVD.
I am an active volunteer in my community and serve on a number boards. Since 2002 I have been a Trustee of CalArts.
I currently reside in Los Angeles with his wife Nancy and two daughters, Sydney and Marlee.
