David's Story
Life
I finished my required subjects at Wilson and was encouraged to go on to higher ed. instead of taking band,band,band and studyhall so on Dec. 3, 1973 I was released, thankgod, from high school to complete my credits at BCTI. I went into the electrical class during which time I landed a job at Dennys restraunt. There I met my future wife through a coworker who buy the way is an alumni, Wilson 76 Barb Stack but she was shipped off to W. VA. before senior yr. so we didnt meet untill she made it back home at the ripe old age of 19. We met at her girlfrends B.party 3-30-77 and were married on 7-23-77. between was when I was accepted into the apprenticeship for electricions which I do now. I also am a proud 3 yr. old grandpa.
UP DATE 9-25-08 Grandaugher 1 is now 8 and #2 is 1 year old!!!!!
College
Entered BCTI 12-73, took a break and ended up married, damn it! Went back and finished around end of 77. Got into electricians apprenticeship 07-78 and completed in 05-82.
Workplace
I was accepted into the electrician's union apprenticeship program in 1978 and am now a journyman electrician with IBEW local 76. Prior to that I worked for Dennys restraunt for about 3 years starting as a busboy , then host, dishwaser, and finally cook.
