David's Story
Well, as a kid I lived outside of Ithaca,NY and attended Danby and Ithaca schools. Moved to Dryden NY and was in Dryden HS '70-72. Right after grad enlisted in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, and traveled around a lot. In '77 got orders to Naval Hosp Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Roads for some of the most challenging and fun times I ever had- emergency/rescue, helicopter medevacs, trainer and support for Marine Barracks. to MCAGCC 29 Palms CA for FMF duty from '80-85, then 5 more years there at the Naval Hospital 10 years in the Mojave Desert- good times for the family. There we had son Chris and Daughter Sandi. In "90 went to FMF duty Kaneohe Bay, HI from 90-'93, where I retired as a Hospital Corpsman 1st Class after 21 Years. Moved up to Minnesota and past 15 years work as a Security Counselor at a MN state max security sex offender facility. Retired from there Nov '09. Still happily married over 30 years and have 8 grandkids. . Now doing volunteer work and nature studies. .
