David's Story
Life
Right after High School I enlisted in the Virginia Army National Guard and also worked for the Manassas Street Department. I went to basic traing in Oct 1969 and became Food Service Specialist got to Manassas April 1970. I worked for the Street Dept for rest of that year and also became Volunteer in the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Dept and did that for about 10 years. I messed around for the next few years drove dump trucks worked at a gas station, and installed heating and qair conditioning systems. When to work for the Richmond, Fredricksburg and Potomac Railroad in Alexandria. In 1981 I went to Alaska on vacation to visit my brother and his wife and liked it so much that came and took a leave of absentance, sold everything that I owned and moved to Alaska. Got a job working as an EMT about 2 weeks after I got there. I worked an EMT until 1991 and got a full time job with the Alaska Army National Guard as the State Food Service Advisor until August 2005 when I retired with 31 years of service 7 in the VA and 24 in AK with the rank of Master Sergant. Sold my house in Alaska and moved to Front Royal. I now work for Lockheed Martin in Chantilly VA. Have been married twice and divorced and single now and really like it. I also restore old military vehicles if you would like to see the Army Kitchen Truck that I restored got seabeecook.com I had to leave in Alaska as it to expensive to have it shipped. I am looking for 1942 Willys jeep to restore.

nce then. I like camping in the Virginia State Parks. I have not found one that I did not like. I have quite bit of hunting also. I have Russian Bore hunting one at Ted Nugent's ranch in Mich. 225 lb pig. Once in TN. at Spartan Preserve 480 lb pig taken with one shot from my crossbow. Got into hunting with a crossbow in 2008. I also have taken the motorhome to SD. passing through Pigeon Forge TN., AR., IA. NC. visiting some friends and cousins along the way. In SD. visited Custer State Park and so on. Saw a lot on great country. Was gone with English Setter Daisy Mae for almost 3 months.

Fort Knox, Kentucky. to January 1970. Advaned Indiviual Training Foof Service Specialist January 1970 to April 1970 Fort Knox, Kentucky. Assigned to Company B 116th Infantry, Virginia Army National Guard, Fairfax, Virginia as Food Service Specialist 94B. Honorably Discharged June 1976. Reenlisted January 1981. B Company 116th Infantry Virginia Army National, Manassas, Virginia. Transfered to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Alaska Army National Guard, Fort Richardson, Alaska Army National Guard Food Service SpecialistJune 1981. Transferred to Alaska Military Noncommision Offiers School Senior Instructor/Test Control NCO 1988. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company 207th Infantry Group (Scout)Food Operations Sergeant 1990. Moved into S4 Logistics Food Service Advisor 1991. Fulltime in the Director Of Logistics State Area Command. State Food Service Advisor. Retired August 2005 as Master Sergeant.
