Confession... left LHHS and did my senior year at Cheshire BUT y'all can see where my loyalty lies.
Quickies:
- Joined the USAF just out of HS; safely made it through the Vietnam nightmare.
- Went to SCSC - Received a Masters in Environmental Education; taught 5th grade in Essex, then Westbrook, and Windham.
- Joined the Air National Guard to make a few extra bucks; went full-time with the Guard; retired as a Colonel after 33 years; was Commander of the 103 Air Control Sq in Orange, CT. Was an aircraft controller (air-to-air combat and refueling) before riding a desk as Commander.
...Expand for more
- Married Barbara Curtis (LHHS '65), had 3 boys, divorced in '89 and remarried.
- Towards the end of my military career, was activated for one year to Langley AFB, Va and never left. I continue to work at Langley as a civilian.
- No near-term retirement plans - scrubbed by the crappy economy.
- Live in Williamsburg, VA... just the best darn place to live.
- Yeah... I still dance... Doo Wop, R&B, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, etc. The Dave Clark 5 was the bane of my existence!!!
- Still get back to Wallingford with Aunt living on Long Hill Road; continue a deep friendship with Richy Carr and his wife Rosemary (Rigby).
