David's Story
After completing a degree in biology at Hartwick College, which Al Doran and I visited together and attended at the same time, I moved to Denver and grad school in theology. Heather Hansen ('68) and I married in '71, had our first child in '72, and moved to Oneonta, NY in '73 where we served in student ministry and welcomed another child. Heather also received her nursing degree there. Following additional grad work in Massachusetts '78-'79, we arrived in Stroudsburg, Pa. where I am the teaching pastor for a local congregation. tionships with all six of our kids, 3 boys and 3 girls, plus a raft of grandchildren. There is always something happening, often a crisis du jour.
I love what I do, and I've been privileged to build relationships with all kinds of people, both in the US and elsewhere. I'm also looking forward to fulfilling teaching invitations in S. America and other places in the next few years. When I found out about the reunion coming up, it brought back tons of great memories. Heather and I will appreciate the opportunity to reconnect with whomever is there or may read this. May God give you hope for the future.
