David's Story

I'm a 59 year old man who has lived and worked all up and down the East Coast of the USA, from Patten, Maine down to Key West, Florida. I have lived way out in the woods, in small towns, big cities, resort beach towns, but here I am back where I grew up at in Dundalk, Maryland again. I was a U.S. Army Photographer in 1969-71, stationed on Okinawa. I was a bear hunting guide in Maine, a blast furnace laborer for Bethlehem Steel, an office furniture delivery truck driver, a Book Mobile driver, Ferris Wheel Operator Extraordinaire, I drove a cab (sporadically because my back kept getting worse), I was a security guard in several places--including Key West Ocean Side Marina. I am saddled and bridled by a bad back and a good dose of depression, but I ain't dead yet. I survive on a small, monthly, non-service connected Veterans Administration disability check, and this freakin' poverty has just about worn me out. I need a modern computer, an editor for my writing, a financial backer for my photography efforts, and a sweet, young, 40 something year old woman to love and admire and have and hold and enjoy a great time with while living out the rest of our lives to the fullest. I'm into outdoors fun and adventure, writing, photography, helping to raise my Grandnephew Daniel, attractive women wearing sensible shoes, setting people straight on the true facts about my life, trying my best to survive, that's right--I said attractive women wearing sensible shoes--they just gotta be wearing them sensible shoes. I have a blog named "Blues Ski...Expand for more
es Over Dundalk Maryland", which accurately portraits the very best of Dundalk - and there is a lot of good in Dundalk. The easiest way to find it it to web search the blog name - "Blues Skies Over Dundalk Maryland". I also have web site about how I moved from Dundalk to Northern Maine and became a bear hunting guide and country women's delight. I had graduated from Dundalk High on June 5, 1968, then, in November of '68, I began living and working in Patten, Maine. This web site of mine compares all things hip and happening in late 1960s Baltimore and Dundalk, Patten, Maine, and California. There's some fantastic 1968 era photographs on this web site. The site is "Northern Maine Adventures Album" Then there's my blog about serving in the US Army on Okinawa. "An American GI On Okinawa In 1970-71" is about my times as an Army photographer and how we GIs on Okinawa had Rockin''n Rollin' great times whilst dealing with some military bull crap. All of my web sites are linked in together. If you find one Google Blogger blogspot site of mine, you've found 'um all. From those sites you can get to where short stories of mine are published on web sites from up in Maine and to where there are sets of my photographs on Flickr. You will also find that my blogs/web sites are linked in with some far-out music playlists that I created. If you like hearing a lot of album cuts played along with a solid selection of Top 40 songs then check out The Soundtrack to my Life on "URSUSDAVE'S MUSIC PLAYLISTS" That's what I've been up to.
