David's Story
After graduation in 68, I worked for Ford Motor Co. in Brookpark, Ohio. December 6, 1969, I married my wife Iris (Comer). April, 1970, I went to work at Olga Coal in Coalwood and worked there until Spring of 1983. I went to work for Jim Walter Resources, Brookwood, Al October,1983 as a Longwall Maintenance Foreman. After a second lower back surgery Febuary, 1991, I had to retire. Iris and I moved to Okeechobee, Fl June, 1994 and lived there until March, 2003 when we moved back to Princeton. n Birmingham, Al and has two daughters. Our daughter and other son live in Okeechobee, Fl. Our daughter has a daughter and a son. August 9, 2009, my wife and best friend passed away. After being married for almost forty years, I'm lost to death without her. I was in Princeton Hospital in October, 2009 with congestive heart failure. My doctor tells me that I need a heart transplant, but no one will put me on a donor list because of my diabetes. Due to diet and exercise, I got a good report on my last doctor's visit.
