What a long strange trip its been! High School was truly a coming of age for me. From feeling like an outcast nerd in Junior High (West) to a Letterman diver on the swimming team, my years at Norwin were among the best in my life. My years at Pitt were right up there too. Then I quickly lost track of favorite people and places when I headed for the hinterlands of Latrobe, PA to work in small-town radio. Latrobe, Connellsville, Uniontown, then finally Pittsburgh is where my career took me. I got married in 79 to a woman who eventually drove me to a nervous breakdown and life kinda leveled out with a down-spin after that. Shortly after radio (and the sales career that developed from it) I found myself, after some major life-drama, alone in Breezewood, Bedford County PA. Everybody who has travelled the length of the PA Turnpike knows Breezewood, "The Town of Motels". I assistant-managed a restaurant there until it went out of business (the whole chain went under in 89) and then settled into a rural small-town life as a "home service" insurance agent.
