David's Story

Life” Married Diane Antonios in 1976 and divorced in 1996. I joined the Air Force in 1976 and we returned to Rossi in 1978. We then moved to Sarasota Florida in 1983 to raise our son there and to grow my career, I have been there ever since. Diane is back in Boston and we really don’t talk anymore. I re-married in 2000 and life is all about having fun with my 4 grandsons and traveling with Barb (see pic) in retirement as well as the local beauty of living in Sarasota. Loved growing up in Rossi, but love living in Sarasota on the west coast of Florida. A resort community that gets better every year. Still free parking at the beach. I think I'm pretty much the same except for the pounds added, good eating I guess, a lil more wiser and not to forget those gray hairs, yes, I still have my hair so I'm not complaining but it ain't like it used to be. Jr & High School: Shout out to kevin burns. He was in my class in every year growing up, he was my lunch buddy for so many years. From Charles Sumner, to Washington Irving to HS. First girlfriend was Helen Burns in 8th grade, she was so pretty and always smiling. She was a great person. My friends were from Healy field area and we all grew up together and most are still my friends. I loved how many groups of friends we had there. It was a great network and school only made it better by expanding that network to West Roxbury and JP. During high school I did have a crush on gigi jackson, s...Expand for more
he always made me laugh, but we never dated. My HS girlfriend I dated was linda johnson, she was my prom date too but we faded after that, but I’ll always remember her, We were both young and fell in love but I blew it up and always regretted hurting her. In HS I shared a locker with my friends from Healy field, patty rando and donna kugel, they both had lockers next to each other and they let me share theirs to hang between classes. Patty was like a sister to me in HS, she was a good person in my life, lots of good talks, she made me a better person, I had no sisters and I could share any thought with her.. Was lucky to have great friends in junior and high school. I think 8th grade was the wildest, 8L - every classmate was way cool beyond their years, girls & boys. My favorite teacher in HS was mr. ulrich (english) he would try to run us over in the morning going into the parking lot with his big red buick wildcat, In class he would stand on his desk and shout out with arm extended “How dare you have the unmitigaing gaul to interrupt my class” - he should have been on Broadway - of course earl the pearl was the best, he would let us in the side door after skipping class. mr clark would let you do anything, I can't even remember what he was supposed to teach. What action going on in that class, you got your morning deals done there. Cheers to the class of 75 - best memory - fridays in the arbs in the spring time, good times : )
