David Duffy:  

After Graduating Cherry Hill West, I attended Catawba College in Salisbury NC on a football scholarship along with Dean Smith. We played football there in the fall of 1985 and eventually transferred. Dean transferred to Glassboro and I transferred to Widener University in Chester PA where I attended from 1986-1989. I was a 3 year starter at Widener on the football team. In 1987 I was selected to play on a college all star team in which we traveled thru Italy and played a series of contests against the Italian National All-Star team. In 1988, my senior year, I was voted to numerous All America football teams which included Kodak, Pizza Hut, Don Hansen and Associated Press. I was Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, and the Phila. Eagles Alumi Assoc. voted me college player of the year in the Delaware Valley. My biggest accomplishment was to be a finalist for the American Football Coaches Association College Player of the Year in 1988. I was one on 3 finalists from the entire country. That year, Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders and Rodney Peete were the finalists for Division 1.
