David's Story
Life
I am married, 8 years going on 9. I have two boys, Andrew 7 and Matthew 5. We live in Huntsville, Alabama. The boys and I enjoy fishing and camping together while Mom goes shopping.
I don't get a lot of opportunities to get back to Oregon, but now that my parents no longer live in Roseburg, the trips I do make to Oregon are normally to Salem.
I do miss my friends from school, but after joining the Army in 1990 I kind of lost track of most of them.
Workplace
I have worked as a defense contractor for 10 years, since I left the military. I work in Huntsville with C4I systems, tactical messaging systems, and architectures, C4I-Simulation integration, and design and ...Expand for more
integration of tactical and commercial network architectures.
I tend to travel quite a bit supporting different Army and Joint Service Headquarters. As a result of the traveling I do for ARCENT and CENTCOM, I spend a lot of time in the middle-east with numerous trips to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other countries in the region as well as other trips to Germany, Korea and other European nations.
Military
I joined the Army 1990, serving for a bit over 6 years. After DS1 I was stationed at Fort Bliss Texas with
2/1 ADA - HAWK
2/6 ADA - Command And Control School
I also served with
ARSPACE in Colorado Springs
I left the Army in 1996.
