More about David:"MY PASSION: I've performed with all of Honolulu’s theatre groups since 1976, when I first appeared at MVT (then known as HPAC) as 1/3rd of the Pointed Man in “The Point.” Favorite roles include Clov in “Endgame,” Herbie in “Gypsy,” Tom in “Glass Menagerie,” the Actor in “Woman in Black,” John in "Oleanna," Gloucester in “King Lear,” and Eddie Lawrence in “Shear Madness,” for which I received a Po`okela nomination, Charlie in MVT's "August: Osage County," Dr. Rank in TAG's "The Doll's House," for which I received a Po`okela award, and Freud in Hawaii Repertory Theatre's "Freud's Last Session." I studied with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse, at Carnegie-Mellon, and with Iris Kline, André Gregory, and most recently with Alan Arkin. A member of Screen Actors’ Guild since 1987 and current president, and member of the local SAG-AFTRA, my national television credits include appearances from the original and the new “Hawaii Five-0” to A&E’s “Biography.” MY DAY JOB: I practice primarily in the areas of bankruptcy, business litigation, and collections as the managing member of David C. Farmer Attorney at Law LLLC. I hold B.F.A. and M.A. degrees in studio art and art history from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa and a J.D. degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law. A member of the Litigation Section of the ABA since 1984, I am also a member of the HSBA’s Collection Law section, currently serving as a director and also a director of the Hawaii Bankruptcy Bar Association, the successor to the HSBA's Bankruptcy Law Section, for which I served as its past president. In addition, I am a member of the Board of Bar Examiners and the Editorial Board of the Hawai`i Bar Journal, to which I am a frequent contributor and editor. I serve as an arbitrator in the Judiciary’s CAAP Program and was a Standing Panel Trustee for the Hawaii United States Bankruptcy Court. As a Visiting and Adjunct Professor, I taught at Richardson from 1998 through 2004 the subjects of Business Reorganization in Bankruptcy, Debtor-Creditor Rights, and Secured Transactions. I have authored numerous articles that have appeared in the Hawai`i Bar Journal, the HSBA’s Hawai'i Divorce Manual and the Landlord-Tenant Manual. I served as Editor-In-Chief and contributing author for the three editions of the Hawai`i Collections Manual, the fourth edition of which is scheduled for publication and seminar in February 2013. I have been a featured guest speaker at numerous workshops and seminars focusing on bankruptcy, collections, and foreclosure topics.".
