David's Story
I went to Our Lady of Grace school in Castro Valley and the St Elizabeth High school where I pretty much coasted for 4 years, not doing the work seriously. After St Elizabeth's I went to Chabot College until 1966, and then to USF. where I played ball and, more importantly, I got serious about my studies. I put myself through USF working as an EMT and any other work I could find . I received a Navy Fleet Reserve scholarship and a Federally based scholarship until Nixon defunded all federal funding. I completed my PhD work in Transformational Grammar, Linguistics, at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. I met my first wife, I married, and have 2 great kids.
During the 70's I was a partner in a video production company. I became CEO of an Emergency Ambulance Co, 911 provider for 12 years and which I eventually sold. I completed my MBA at St Mary's...Expand for more
College, Moraga while turning around my parents businesses. From 1988 I also worked as a consultant for a number of companies creating new business strategies and marketing plans as a consultant with Arthur Andersen. In the mid 90's I worked frequently in CFO positions and did turnarounds for companies in trouble in the pacific Northwest and California. In 1999 I worked in Silicon Valley as VP and chief strategist enabling early launch startups and new product releases strategies. I ended my carrier as a partner in a video production company, coming full circle. I have a great wife and live now in Sonora, CA. We are grandparents finally. My children all have carriers to be proud of, I keep my retirement time serving on several non profit boards. My wife and I travel Europe and South America and enjoy swimming in a masters program competitively.
