David's Story
In 1970 I left paradise for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I married; we had a little girl. Three years passed; we divorced. I remained on the shore for ten years. I taught middle school and worked full time for a rock and roll radio station.
I drank way too much, and not only destroyed my marriage and carreer, but almost lost Dave Frey forever.
I moved to Baltimore in 1980, sobered up and met a nice girl. We married in 86 and had a little girl in 1992. Fifteeen more years passed and we didn't divorce. We are still going strong. Well she is anyway.
we live in southern California. Hell on earth. I have learned from my time on the Shore and here that no group of people can hold a urinal for the folks in West Virginia.

1997 was my last year with all my physical abilities. I suffered a severe back injury and have not walked unassisted since. But Hark. Not to fret or worry or feel sad. I have spent the last ten years helping Haley grow into a wonderful young lady; an honor student; and she doesn't like rap. It's hard dealing with the pain I suffer at times(like every minute of every day) but Haley has made it all worth it. Like Bruce also said, "Learn to live with what you can't rise above.
So her I am, a cripple old hippie waiting for the next chapter of my life.
