David's Story
Hello, Everyone
I thought I'd share my story with everyone, since some long lost Classmates are requesting. Goes something like this. After graduating from high school, I attended FAMU in Tallahassee for a Business Degree. I returned to West Palm Beach to help fill a Life Long Dream of Mine, and of My Mother's, (To be in our own Clothing Business).We opened the business in 1976 on Northwood Rd, in WPB. It was very enjoyable at times, and a rewarding endeavor for about 20yrs. Learned a lot about business, and being a Black owned business. We decided to close the business when the major Dept. Stores were going out of business (economy) and Mom begin to have health issues. We semi-retired Mom to her home where services continued a few more years. lady) born before I got married to my wife. I went into Sales. First Insurance, with Primerica, then with Yellolw page advertising. Both were exciting and rewarding for a few years, but got burned out moving around so much across three counties. I then got involved with Teaching with the Local School District where I remained. My Entrepreneur spirit never left, so I started a Sales/Marketing Business Online. which I currently market Financial Services and internet based programs and services. Son & Daughter grown and doing well, of which I'm very proud of them both. Write me and I'll share why everyone should have a Home Base business. Over the years I've been working on the Revitalization of Northwest neighborhoods where we all grew up.
