David's Story
Graduated Barstow High 1963, worked for Santa Fe RR for a couple of years in Barstow and then Bakersfield. Joined the Air Force instead of being drafted into the Army. Stayed in the Air Force from 1965-79. Spent 23 months in Vietnam-15 months in the Philippines. Stationed several places in the US. Worked a short time for American Airlines as a Customer Service Engineer on Digital Visual Systems. Taught electronics and computer systems for 3 years to USAF military and civilians. Worked part-time repairing Brandt money handling systems in Northern CA and Nev. Transferred to Ohio as Lead Logistician for Special Projects at Wright-Patterson AFB, ...Expand for more
OH for about 8 yrs. Then spent 10 years working in the Pentagon as lead Negotiator for International Affairs. Traveled all over the world. Retired 2005. Along the way, One Associate of Applied Science, One BA in Psychology, two BS's (Business Administration and Electronics and Computer Related Systems) one Master of Science in Logistics and published one book (Thesis). Retired to Tennessee. Married twice. Current wife of 22 years and I have three children between us. We live in Tennessee between Nashville and Chattanooga. We are healthy, have 5 grandchildren and both love being retired. Oldest brother(Ron) Gressman now lives in Boise, Idaho.
