David's Story
Boy, to place this into words. What is it now, over thirty years since I last drove that mustard yellow Opel out of the parking lot for the lat time. That hot day in June in the Convention Center, we were the last class still going to school, Reynolds, North, East, Parkland had all graduated before us. We were in the right place at the right time.
I joined the US Air Force and made a career of it. I have traveled, seen many different things, worked hard and now miss it each and every day. I have been retired now for over ten years. Since that time I have been a technology instructor and a Manager.
I have lived in several states, California, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, and Ohio since I left school. I have been fortunate to also live overseas for a time, South Korea and Spain. I have to admit, I fou...Expand for more
ght going to Spain, but it is a place I would go back to in a second if I could find employment there and of course learn to speak Spanish.
I now work for the University here in Las Vegas. I manage a great team of guys with a very large job. They maintain 10,000 computers a day making sure that the administrative staff and the faculty are able to do their jobs.
I love getting up each morning as each day is new, different and an adventure as to see what new troubles our customers can get themselves into. Actually I just love the bike ride in as I commute each day to and from work. Luckily I live in Vegas which makes bike riding a doable thing, it may be a little cool here in the winter, but boy the heat in the summer is what makes you think about getting in a car with air conditioning and driving home.
