David's Story

After high school I went into the Army and got my fill of seeing the world. Upon my discharge in Seattle, I bummed around the wilderness areas of the West coast, the South Western United States and Mexico and I developed a love for the outdoors and Chili Relanos that persists to this day. I eventually moved back to Cleveland, went to work, got married, started attending night school at Fenn College and got involved in local politics. I discovered I had a talent for detail and a love of organizing and I went into Materials Management. (Inventory, production and purchasing.) I have two sons by my first marriage and a daughter by my third. (Nothing ...Expand for more
is as sobering as having a child at 49 and realizing that at 65 you'll get to teach a sixteen year old to drive.) My interests have grown and changed through the years and include everything from volleyball to genealogy, and from whitewater canoeing to numismatics. About the only thing I continued after high school was writing. Somewhere along the line I learned to, "play at" the guitar and I currently enjoy collaborative songwriting with a local group of desperate house-husbands/wives known as the Summit County Songwriters Circle. (Madge Steele never forgave me for not pursuing literature, but she had much more faith in me than I had talent.)
